This is achieved by the fabric s white surface on the inside reflecting all while stopping any light from leaking out or being absorbed.

Blockout fabric is engineered to evenly distribute lighting inside of a lightbox and increase the backlit graphic s brightness. To achieve the frameless appearance the edges of the graphic are sewn with a silicone beading that tucks into the perimeter of the lightbox extrusion to display a taut smooth graphic face.
