Light blue paint reflects the soothing tones of the sea and the sky creating rooms that feel made for escapism. A light silvery blue. Light blue becomes a little more silver in tone when used in shaded areas so is very popular for use on the walls of internal halls especially when the remainder of the house is painted in cooler more neutral greys. One of our favorite go to colors in a kitchen is farrow ball borrowed light.

Farrow ball has a history dating back to 1946 where rich colours were produced using only the finest ingredients. This silvery blue was so named because it was the lightest blue farrow ball made in its first collection of colours. It is the perfect backdrop against a light or dark countertop or cabinetry terri fiori designer. The vintage pendants subtly echo the aqua shades of the collectable ceramics while the brass drawer pulls offer a warm contrast to the dramatic shade.

The blue collection from farrow ball is made up of mid pale and dark hues. However in dimmer lighting and this is where it gets a little tricky to predict even painted furniture with plenty of external angles to bounce light from looks a little moody in farrow and ball light blue. This pale blue grey takes its name from the soft natural light that often pours through ceiling skylights. It has a slight green undertone which lends itself to rooms that don t get much natural light it also works well in smaller rooms too. The most popular of all farrow ball colours right now seems to be hague blue. However it is less reflective than borrowed light reading as a definite cool blue when used in small spaces but becoming paler and greyer when used in larger areas.

A pale and traditional blue. Muted borrowed light and skylight make for breezy fresh feeling spaces while cool parma gray adds a little more formality. Everyone seems to be painting walls floor and kitchen cupboards in this strong deep dark blue.
